Elisa studied and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from Cal Poly SLO. She attended a year of the Masters of Education program at Sacramento State University. That masters was cut short by the adoption of her 3rd child who was diagnosed with full Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. This led Elisa’s life into the path of advocaty for children in special education.
Elisa served on the Superintendent Subcommittee for Special Education at DJUSD for three years. Her daughter is now a high school graduate! She owned and directed a preschool for 20 years in Davis and consulted for First 5 Quality Enhancement for early educators, she has a California Credential in Site Supervision and was the Executive Director of a non-profit, grant based, preschool for homeless and low income children in Woodland. She had been a part time instructor for the University of California Extention, Center for Childhood Development since 2012. In 2014 she found her new passion by becoming the Minister of Congregational Care at Davis Community Church. Working with families, seniors and those with special challenges is her life work. She had been the co-chair of Mosaic Tea and Coffee since 2011.
