Bill is a pastor at Davis Community Church. He feels called to a way of life that uplifts the poor, embodies justice and builds diverse community.
Bill attended the University of Tennessee, where he received his B.A. in Sociology. During this time, he became involved in social justice issues, first serving as a Student Manager in a transitional facility for former criminal offenders, then upon graduation serving as a development worker in Ghana, West Africa.
Upon returning to the United States, Bill attended graduate school at Union Presbyterian Seminary and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He participated in internships at the New Orleans Police Department, First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Virginia Supportive Housing and the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy. Bill met his beautiful wife Amy during orientation at Union Seminary in 1999 and married in 2002.
Since moving to Davis in 2005, Bill has helped to start programs such as the Interfaith Rotating Winter Shelter of Davis, the Radiate Art Collective, the Youth Leadership Institute, Pollinate Davis Coworking and JumpStart Davis.
